REV. Lab.
is a sound, print & tone label founded in 2013 by artist Bas Mantel
The sound and tone of the label find their inspiration in a blend of electronic, ambient, experimental, cinematic, and abstract soundscapes.
Manipulated field recordings and found footage, sound sampling/collages, often cut and pasted experiments.

REV. Lab.
works as a platform for Mantels own audio and graphic print experiments, for joint projects, and for work by artist friends.

Bas Mantel
is an artist, musician, graphic designer, educator and founder of Rev.Lab.Records, a print, sound and tone label based in Amsterdam.
Bas studied at the HKU graphic design and is fascinated by the interplay between music and graphic design.

is expressed in audiovisual experiments, performances, publications and releases

Process
Play, Sample, Remix, Produce. Graphic compositions were created using scissors, glue and traditional analogue printing techniques, such as xerox and fax machines. At a later stage of the process, computer software is often used to further edit the images.
